Public Relations

Every year, Rainbow Grocery Cooperative elects four worker owners to participate in the Public Relations Committee. The committee's main tasks are:

  • Placing advertisements in various periodicals, television, and radio
  • Scheduling in-store cooking and demos
  • Scheduling product demos
  • Attending various functions throughout the Bay Area
  • Attending school events
  • Handling customer concerns

 

Sponsorships

 

All sponsorship requests will be evaluated by the PR committee on a weekly basis. If you would like us to sponsor an event, such as a film/music festival etc., please submit an information package at least 1 month in advance. Please provide the following items in the package:

  • Contact person for your organization including phone and email address
  • Date of the event and its intended goals
  • Please specify what kind of support you are requesting
  • Any additional information that would be useful

 

Kids love Rainbow!

 

If you would like to arrange a tour of the store for a group of children, please contact the Public Relations committee by phone or email. Or bring Rainbow to your school. We'd love to attend your festival, fair or any other school event. Send an email stating where the event will be held and the following:

  • Contact name with a telephone number and or email address
  • Date of event
  • Please indicate what the event is for

 

Filming / Photography at Rainbow Grocery

 

GUIDELINES:
Parties interested in making a film or shooting photographs about Rainbow Grocery or including information about Rainbow, about any department, or any individual representing Rainbow, should submit their proposal to the Public Relations Committee. When shooting photos any persons involved should give consent. The proposal should include the dates of filming/ photography, a written contract, crew size, and specific needs around filming. Proposals are subject to approval by PR committee and legal representative, before any decisions are made. All parties, departments, or individuals will be consulted before any decisions are made.
Film crews will need to check in with the Customer Service desk, fill out a form, and turn in their ID's for a Rainbow Press Tag. The ID's will be returned when the Press Tag is turned in at the end of filming.
